RYA Intermediate personal windsurfing or above or RYA Dinghy Basic Skills Level 2 with 1 National sailing scheme advanced module. RYA powerboat Level 2 International Certificate of Competance and First Aid qualifications essential.

The Main Purpose of the job
Working as part of the team to ensure the smooth running of the waterfront and assisting in the instruction of Windsurfing, Sailing and/or Waterskiing.
Key Responsibilities
· Assisting with instruction on a daily basis.
· Up holding both the Standards of Mark Warner and the RYA / BWS / IKO / BKSA
· The Health and Safety of the guests in all activities
· Setting up and pack up of the waterfront at the start and end of each day.
· Maintaining I high standard of personal appearance at all times
· Ensuring that where possible the expectations of the Guests are met or acted on.
Your Duties Include:
· Setting up and packing up the waterfront at the start and end of each day including the
Thorough cleaning and tidying up of the waterfront equipment
· Iimplementing water safety precautions and ensuring the safety of the guests and staff
On the waterfront at all times
· Working on the Waterfront Customer Services Desk and assisting guests with all
their waterfront related requirements, problems and difficulties
· Working on shore break which includes assisting guests in launching their boats into
the water and then catching boats when they come back in from their lessons or free sail
· Working on rescue boat being alert to all guests/staff on the water and assisting
them where necessary
· Assisting in Windsurfing and/or Sailing instruction
· Assisting the Waterfront Manager and Heads of Departments with the organisation of
Race Day events
· Assisting the Head of Department in the care and maintenance of all water sports
equipment for your department
· Organising and attending departmental/course evening meals with the guests
· Assisting on transfer day with luggage and transfers to and from the airport where
necessary
· Maitre’d duties plus evening speeches
· Attending regular departmental and general staff meetings
· Participating in evening entertainments on occasions
