Waterfront Manager
Management of all waterfront instruction, staff, equipment, safety and administration. RYA Dinghy Senior Instructor and/or RYA Intermediate (Planing) Windsurf Instructor/Senior Instructor or above.RYA Safety/Powerboat Instructor preferably. SBDA / RYA powerboat level 2, ICC and First aid qualifications compulsory. Previous Waterfront management is essential.
Positions are very limited and competition is very high for this role, you may wish to consider applying for a Head Instructor or Instructor role for your first season and working your way up within Mark Warner.
Responsible for:
Management and motivation of Waterfront Staff.
Organisation of staff rotas and programs.
Organisation of Waterfront Staff throughout all aspects of their work.
Planning and organising pre-season and ongoing training programmes as part of the Markwarner Performance Pathway.
Carrying out Health and safety audits and the updating of systems, SOP’s and the training of staff in all aspects of Health and Safety on the waterfront, with the Help of Head Office support
Liaising with the Waterfront Specialist on the operational side of the Waterfront.
Liaising with the Waterfront Recruiter on the Staff .
Ensuring that an instruction programme, which caters for all abilities of Guests whether adults or children, is adhered to by the Instructors.
Initiating and co-ordinating systems for the entire Watersports operation.
Establishing and implementing water safety precautions.
Ensuring the safety of the guests and staff at the waterfront.
Overseeing the care and maintenance of all Watersports equipment.
Organisation of Race Day and evening Prize Giving.
Ensuring that the level of customer service, appearance of the staff and atmosphere on the waterfront is friendly, safe and enjoyable for the guests.
Other duties:
Assisting the Activities Manager with the planning of bad weather programmes.
Co-ordination of the transfer of guests to and from the airport.
Assisting the Activities Manager with the organisation of Welcome Drinks.
Assisting Guests with all their requirements, problems and difficulties.
Assisting the Activities Manager with the organisation of evening entertainment’s and social activities both within and without the Hotel.
Taking evening meals with the Guests.
Conducting regular departmental meetings.
Attending a weekly staff meeting.
Maintaining a professional image at all times.
