Accountants

We have two positions available for our San Lucianu resort on the stunning island of Corsica this summer:

RESORT FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Overall responsibility for the general ledger accounts in the Mediterranean through regular review of the accounting systems and working closely with the Resort Hotel Accountant.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting Hotel Manager as a member of the management team
- Providing financial guidance and support to the Hotel Manager
- Reconciling and controlling the hotels bank transactions and cash flow
- Ensuring timely reporting of monthly accounts including full profit and loss and balance sheet
- Ensuring timely settlement of supplier invoices and cash flow requests to ensure bank account is well managed
- Providing support and assistance to the Resort Hotel Accountant
- Ad hoc accounting projects and assisting Head Office with any queries
- Carrying out Duty Manager shifts as required by the Hotel Manager

This role offers the possibility to extend to a permanent contract in our London Head Office finance department after the summer season.

Requirements:

You will be either part/fully qualified or suitably experienced within an accounting role. Flexibility, strong customer service and communication skills are essential as well as the abilitiy to work in a team. Some knowledge of French is advantageous.



RESORT HOTEL ACCOUNTANT

Reporting to the Resort Financial Controller, this role involves being responsible for the day to day finances within the hotel. Overseeing the accounting and control systems within the hotel and the production of accurate weekly accounts.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting the Hotel Manager as a member of the Head of Department team
- Ensuring timely and accurate production of the weekly resort accounts
- Providing assistance and support to the Resort Financial Controller
- Providing financial support to all departments within the hotel
- Reconciling the hotels petty cash transactions
- Preparing weekly staff wages summaries, commission and holiday pay forms
- Responsible for daily and weekly cash ups for all areas
- Weekly and monthly reconciliation of Mark Warner activities including tennis, watersports, hair and beauty and diving.
- Ad hoc accounting projects and assisting Head Office with any queries.

Requirements:

This role is ideal for someone looking to begin a career in finance, therefore would suit a numerate graduate or someone with some basic accounting experience looking to expand their knowledge.
