Activities Manager/Head of Activities
Very active role involving many different activities and plenty of guest contact!
Main duties are overseeing and organising all pool and aerobics activities, managing and motivation of staff within the Activities Department and overseeing the organisation of the evening entertainments programme.
Duties include:
- Ensuring the safety of guests in the areas of Aerobics, Pool, Volleyball and other dry land activities
- Covering Aerobics classes or pool lifeguards when required
- Pre season and ongoing training of Activities staff
- Overseeing the evening entertainments programme
- Organising staff rotas and timetabling of daytime activities
- Overseeing advertising of activities on blackboards around the hotel
- Organising weekly prize-giving in conjunction with the Waterfront department
- Contingency planning as a result of bad weather
- Organising and attending welcome drinks on arrival days
- Organising staff rotas for Maitre'd duties and evening speeches
- Assisting the Customer Service department with airport transfers when necessary
- Holding regular departmental meetings and attending regular staff and management meetings
- Duty Manager shifts as required by the Hotel Manager
Good knowledge of the leisure and entertainment industry is essential. Must have excellent organisational and staff management skills. Aerobics qualifications required.
Full benefits package provided including return travel, full board accommodation, use of all watersports and activities, insurance and uniform plus weekly wage of £100- £140 per week.
