Head Bar
Overall responsibility for management of hotel bars including setting up and running of the bar and management and motivation of the team of bar staff. It is your responsibility to ensure a friendly and welcoming atmosphere is created encouraging the guests into the bar as much as possible throughout their holiday.
Duties include:
- Organisation of staff rotas
- Pre-season menu planning and costing
- Reconciling cash receipts and deliveries
- Liaison with suppliers
- Weekly stock take and ordering
- Planning and advertising of bar promotions
- Ensuring staff behave in a professional manner in front of guests in the bar
- Assisting in the co-ordination of evening entertainments and encouraging staff to be involved
- Carrying out Duty Manager function as requested by the Hotel Manager
- Attending staff meetings and conducting weekly departmental meetings
Must have thorough knowledge of all aspects of bar management, have a friendly and personable nature and the motivation and passion to run a successful bar.
