Maintenance/Driver
You will oversee all maintenance of one of our hotels as well as being the designated driver. This includes basic plumbing, electrics, carpentry, painting and decorating and ensuring all guests maintenance requests are dealt with. You will also be responsible for maintaining the company vehicle.
Working varied shifts, this position gives you plenty of time on the slopes!
We recruit maintenance staff all year round so you may have the opportunity to stay in the Alps for the summer season, or go and work in one of our stunning beach resorts!
You must be a very confident driver with experience in general maintenance work and a full clean driving license.
ALPINE MAINTENANCE CO-ORDINATOR- POSITION NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
Mark Warner also have a fantastic opportunity to oversee and co-ordinate all our maintenance work for our Alpine hotels and staff accommodation this winter.
Based in the top ski resort of Val d'Isere you will travel round the Alps visiting different hotels; there is the possibility to progress to a permanent role working in the Alps and Mediterranean in the summer season.
Working closely with the Alpine Resort General Manager, Resort Administrator as well as our Hotel Managers, your duties will include:
- Collating a central as well as individual hotel maintenance log
- Collating a list of suppliers and being the point of contact for local maintenance suppliers
- Complying with health and safety procedures
- Assisting hotel maintenance staff (on site and over the phone) and covering where required
- Maintaining resort vehicles and pool
- Controlling utilities in liaison with Technical Services Manager
- Assisting with maintenance/driving duties during start of season training course
- Checking hotels at start/end of season
- Preperation and execution of summer maintenance
We offer an excellent package including travel to and from resort, your own flat, all meals, ski pass, ski/boot hire for the season and a weekly wage.
Requirements
It is essential that you have a wide range of skills and experience of building/renovation work including plumbing, electrics, carpentry and a full clean UK driving license. IT literacy (Word/Excel) is important as well as spoken French in order to liase with local suppliers.
