Snowboard/Ski Host
Snowboard/Ski guiding, assisting in airport transfer and general organisation of activities in the club and around resort. Snowboard Hosts will also be required to ski host on occasion, so please be aware you will be Ski tested at interview.
Boarding and skiing ability to black run standard, 15+ weeks. Excellent customer service and communication skills essential.
EU passport and UK National Insurance number essential.

The Main Purpose of the job
To provide a safe programme of ski hosting for guests
Key Responsibilities
· Conducting a safe days ski hosting on permitted days in resort
· Assisting with organisation and participating in Apres Ski activities
· Presentation of evening entertainments
· Safe transfer of guests to and from the airport
Your Duties Include
· Transfer days -
When on airport duty - greeting guests at the airport, assisting with check in, welcome and information speeches on transfer to resort, and other airport duties as required by the Airport Rep
· Transfer days -
When not required for airport duty - Cleaning and tidying the ski department area e.g. ski room/boot room etc.
· Taking the guests on safe and enjoyable days hosting
· Socialising with guests during skiing, lunch and evening meals
· Ensuring all standards and procedures are adhered to, as set out in the Mark Warner standards and procedures manual
· Ensuring all safety systems that were put in place at start of season by the Head Host are followed.
· Assisting the Head Host in organisation of hosting groups
· Participating in the running of bad weather programmes
· Manning the ski desk (information point for guests e.g. ski schools, local restaurants, knowledge of the area etc)
· Assisting guests with ski and boot hire from local shops, on arrival
· Collection of money from guests for ski passes. Purchasing and distribution of guests’ ski passes
· Organisation and booking of ski schools with local instructors. Following up progress
· Promoting a good company image at all times to guests, other tour operators, local authorities and residents.
· Assisting the Head Host with the organisation of Welcome Drinks.
· Assisting Guests with all their requirements, problems and difficulties.
· Organisation and presentation of after dinner entertainments
· Arranging interesting, informative and well laid out notice boards.
· Attending regular departmental meetings.
· Attending a weekly staff meeting.
